MATTERA

Giovanni G., age74, of Edgewater, FL, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones, on November 22, 2017.  Giovanni was born in Ischia, Italy the son of Ernesto and Fortuna Mattera.  He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Salvatore.

Giovanni is survived by his wife, Cynthia:  three daughters, Melissa Mattera, Michelle (Dason) Starkey and Jennifer (Nick) Calzone; two grandchildren, Emma Calzone and Hayden Calzone; a sister, Mariolina Scotti; two brothers, Giuseppe and Giulio Mattera; other family and friends. Gianni was a self-employed barber, hair stylist for over 50 years and loved fishing.  A Celebration of Giovanni's Life will be held on December 8, 2017 at 2 PM at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place, 1 North Causeway, New Smyrna Beach, FL.  Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
