Gladys Estella Clifford, 93, of Edgewater passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 in her home surrounded by family. Gladys was born in Elyria, OH on August 20, 1925. She and her husband, Richard moved from Elyria, OH to Hacienda Del Rio in Edgewater 31 years ago. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed gardening as well as playing bridge and golf. Survivors include her twin sister Gloria Camp, two daughters Patricia Fitzgerald (Brad) of Columbus, OH and Mary Heasley (Michael) of Uniontown, OH, daughter-in-law Gail Clifford-Mclean and husband Michael with his two children Corey and Haley, and her five loving grandchildren: Patrick, Erika, Megan (Derek), John, and Joseph. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard J. Clifford in 2014, her son John M. Clifford in 2002, and her eldest son Peter Clifford in 1952. Cremation will be done by Baldwin Funeral Home and her remains will be next to her husband Richard at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. A memorial gathering will be held in the near future at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for friends and family.
