Glen Stuart "Smiley" Rubin passed away January 8, 2026 at his home in Mount Dora, Florida.

Glen was born January 31, 1962 in Takoma Park, Maryland, the youngest child of Sheldon and Ruth Rubin, who passed away in 2023 and 2024, respectively.

Glen will be greatly missed by his husband, Pat Andrews; his siblings, Mitch, Gail and Lee Rubin; many nieces and nephews; their partners, Spencer Nishiyama and Maria Rubin; his niece, Dianne Rubin Anderson, her husband, Geoffrey Anderson; their son, Max; and many loving cousins.

Many friends also feel his loss; Chris Pedersen, Fred Berliner, Jason and Cristi Mercier, Suzanne Bell, Robin Deighton, Chance Hughes, Greg Miller, Mary McMillian, members of the Orlando Gay Chorus, and many more.

In his 25 years in Lake County, he was employed at Famous Footwear, Publix, and Wawa, from which he retired in May, 2025. He and Pat celebrated 21 years together in a home of love, surrounded by their beloved pets and mementos of a life well lived.
