Obituary

Born on June 9, 1943, in Tarrytown, NY, Gloria Daniels, now Gloria Serleto, 82, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, surrounded by family and friends.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband, John F. Serleto, affectionately known as Jack. Their love story began on the golf course at the Morris County Park Commission, where Jack served as Director of Golf Courses—a fitting meeting place, as golf would remain Gloria’s favorite pastime throughout her life.

An active and engaged member of her community, Gloria embraced life at The Villages, where she and Jack resided. In addition to spending time on the golf course, she enjoyed many of the community’s activities. She was a member of the woodworking club, participated in art classes, Fashion Divas and was enthusiastically learning to play the piano. She was always eager to try something new.

Professionally, Gloria was accomplished and respected. She earned a nursing degree and went on to build a successful corporate career in sales management. She was honored with Manager of the Year awards during her tenure at Brother, Inc. and IBM, a testament to her leadership, dedication, and work ethic.

Gloria will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her love of learning, and the joy she found in both her personal and professional pursuits. She leaves behind a legacy of caring and generosity and shared moments, that will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Gloria is survived by her loving husband Jack; their beloved dog Bella; three nieces, two nephews and many dear friends in Florida, New Jersey and New York.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gloria’s name to a local Humane Society would be warmly welcomed.
