It is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Gloria Zesewitz, 91 years old of Punta Gorda, Fl, formerly of The Villages, Fl and Ridley Park, Pa. Gloria peacefully departed on July 6,2026.
Born in East Mines, Pa on June 28,1935, she was the cherished daughter of Susan (nee Curry) and James Kerns. Gloria was raised in southwest Philadelphia and graduated from West Catholic High School for Girls in 1953.
She married her late beloved husband Allen Zesewitz in 1973.
Gloria was a loving mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great grandmother.
Gloria is fondly remembered for her wonderful Thanksgiving dinners and her ability to easily get along with everyone she met. A lover of fashion, she took great joy in piecing together the perfect outfit for any occasion. She attained utmost fulfillment in her work of 30 plus years at Boeing. She enjoyed reading and playing mahjong, but her biggest joy came from spending time with family especially her cherished grandsons.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband Allen and brothers Donald and Robert Kerns. She is survived by her loving daughter Cheryl Hetherington (Mike) and 3 grandsons Drew, Connor and Blake (Paulina), great grandson Jameson, sister-in-law Gerry Kerns and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Gloria’s life will be announced at a later date.
