There was never a moment without a joke to tell or a smile to share.
Gordon Randy Bryant, affectionately known as "Gordy," peacefully left this world on June 26, 2026, at the age of 81, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. Born on August 7, 1944, in Orlando, Florida, to Gordon and Marguerite Bryant, he lived a life full of passion and heartfelt devotion.
Above all, Gordy was a fiercely loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His family was his greatest treasure, and he found his deepest joy in their company. Those who knew him will always remember his quick wit, his infectious sense of humor, and his remarkable gift for making everyone around him smile. There was never a moment without a joke to tell or a smile to share. His warmth and kindness touched everyone he met.
Gordy’s passions ran deep; fishing, hunting, and the thrill of competition barbecue filled his days with purpose and joy. An active member of the Florida BBQ Association, he cherished the camaraderie and lifelong friendships forged through his love of barbecue, sharing good times and great food with those around him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Audrey S. Bryant; his daughter, Valerie Denise Seifried (Dean); his son, Gordon Scott Bryant (Carla); his stepdaughter, Cheryl Struble (Mark); and his stepson, Dennis R. Mooty (Crystal). His heart also lives on in his cherished grandchildren: Robert, David, Kaley, Curtiss (Naomi), Grace (Noah), Ashley Rae Foster (Eric), Ben, Laura, Josiah, Maxwell, and Silas, along with two adored great-grandchildren. Gordy was blessed with countless extended family members and dear friends whose lives he touched deeply.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon and Marguerite Bryant, and his first grandchild, Christopher Scott Ledbetter.
A heartfelt celebration of Gordy's life will be held on August 8 at the Little Lake Harris Shores Clubhouse, a gathering to honor a man whose love, laughter, and unwavering devotion made a lasting impact on us all.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made to Compass Life Church.
Gordy's enduring legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to his family will forever reside in our hearts. Though we mourn his absence, we will forever cherish the memories and the light he brought into our lives. He will be profoundly missed and eternally remembered.
