Gordon Whitefield, 91, of Palm Coast, passed away peacefully at home March 15, 2026.  

Gordon was born on November 8, 1934 in Toronto, Canada. In 1935 his family moved to the United States and settled in Newark, New Jersey. After graduating from Central High School, Gordon built a long and successful career as a business owner in the retail and hospitality industries. After many years in New Jersey, in 2001, he and his wife relocated to New Smyrna Beach, Florida, where he spent more time enjoying and deepening his love of fishing. They also spent a lot of time fishing at various lakes in Canada and the Bahamas. Gordon and his wife loved to travel, their favorite country was Italy. 

Gordon will be remembered for his passionate spirit and beloved friendships. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Fonda Whitefield; his brother Isaac Whitefield, his sons Stuart and Jeffery Whitefield and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
