Gwendolyn Gladys Rice born April 6, 1933 in DeWitt, Clinton County, MI to Garfield Glen Merrill and Evelyn Ruth Gibson.  She was widowed.  Gwen worked as a purchaser for Diamond Rio Trucking in Lansing, MI for 10 years then moved to Fort Myers, FL where she owned Dolphin Cep-Tech, Inc.  Gwen retired in Lady Lake, FL.  Gwen enjoyed several hobbies over the years which included doll collecting, sewing, creating beauty pageant gowns and unique custom cakes in her younger years.  Gwen loved her family and was always willing to help or assist when in need.  She is survived by her children David (Kathy) Kobel, Crystal River, FL, Kandace Friedlieb, Lady Lake, FL, and Kimberly Kobel (Jay), Fort Myers, FL; seven grandchildrens,; 16 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren; siblings Gary (Diane) Merrill, Lansing, MI, Carol Prince, Diamond Dale, MI, Dawn Mercer, Remus, MI; 11 nieces and nephews.  Arrangements entrusted with BALDWIN BROTHERS Funeral & Cremation Society-Spanish Springs, 352-480-5959.  Sentiments may be found at www.baldwincremation.com.
