Henry A. "Hank" Spies, 78, of Cape Coral, Florida and Cranston, Rhode Island passed away after a 9-year battle with mantle cell lymphoma. Hank as he was known to all, was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Mae Spies and sister, Penny San Martin. Hank will be deeply missed by his wife, Linda, his son, Brent and his daughter, Kerrin: grandson, Callen Solari; brother-in-law, Bob Briden whom he fondly referred to as his brother.

Hank served with the United States Army from 1968 to 1974, He received a bachelor's degree from Hawthorne College and began a long successful career in the construction equipment industry. Hank owned H.A.S. Equipment in Mahwah, New Jersey, prior to joining Milton Caterpillar in 1983. In 2005, he received the award for being the highest overall profit Sales Manager. He retired as the Used Equipment Manager in 2016 and loved being connected with those he worked with. In his younger years, he enjoyed snowmobiling at his family's lodge in Clayville, New York. He enjoyed a friendly round of golf, but never mastered the sport. He earned his nickname, "Martini Man," due to his fondness for one at the end of the day. Hank loved dogs, owning many during his lifetime. He enjoyed a special 18 years with his last one Oscar. He declared his "happy place" was floating in his pool chair reading or napping in the afternoon.

Per Hank's request, there will be no funeral services. A Celebration of Hank's Life will be held in Rhode Island in May.
