Harrison Lee Born, 73, died February 18 th , 2019 with his wife, Joanna M. Born, by his side. They celebrated 50 years of life and marriage together just this past December. Lee was born June, 27, 1945 at Mary Rutan Hospital in Bellefontaine, OH. He went to Bellefontaine High School where he graduated in June 1963 and was a lifeguard at Beatley's for a while afterwards. Lee went on to graduate with honors from Urbana University in 1974. While attending Urbana University, he accepted a role as a teacher in the Indian Lake School System. He went on to become an accomplished wrestling coach for the schools, as well. This was followed by an accomplished 30-year sales career with Safety-Wear. Lee was proud of his achievements during this period of his life and the lifelong friends and relationships he formed. He enjoyed a wonderful life of golfing, traveling, reading, and most of all, socializing with friends and family. Lee had been dealing with a number of health issues near the end of his life and was grateful to be able to attend his daughter's wedding this past October, and to celebrate his fiftieth wedding anniversary with his wife and family in December. After celebrating those milestones, he felt that he could leave this world peacefully and fulfilled.
Lee is predeceased by his father, Lester R. Born; by his siblings, Lester R. Born and Lisa J. Pitts
He is survived by his loving wife, Joanna M. Born of Mount Dora, FL; by his mother, Mary E. Born of Springfield, OH; by his children, Jennifer (Drew) Rachek of Bellefontaine, OH and Sean Kasey Born of Mount Dora, FL; by his siblings: R. Bruce Born of Springfield, OH, Linda (Gene) Gooding of Vermilion, OH, Chris (David) Watkins of Rushsylvania, OH; by his father-in-law, Donald Wagoner; as well as many nieces, nephews, and a plethora of amazing friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Ohio over the summer, the date and time are still to be determined.
