Harry George
Bierce
Jan 19, 1947 — Sep 27, 2026
Harry George Bierce, of Ocala, was peacefully surrounded by family as he took his final journey home to his Savior on September 27, 2026, at the age of 79.
Harry was born January 19, 1947 in Butler, PA to Harry and Elizabeth Beers. Harry loved the outdoors and loved spending time in the mountains or on the water. He took great pride in his skill as a silhouette shooter, earning multiple competition wins and creating memories through a sport he truly enjoyed. He made sure to instill the love of the outdoors in his children, teaching them the many skills he had learned over the years.
He was a brilliant man that could learn and perfect whatever was put in front of him. If it needed to be fixed, he could fix it. If it needed to be built, he could build it. He was an expert mechanic who spent most of his career working for Toyota and Hyundai. Known for his expertise and ability to fix nearly anything, he took great pride in his work and the skills he developed throughout his career.
Above all, Harry was a devoted father and loving grandfather. He leaves behind his two daughters, Angela Corbit and husband, Kurt Corbit, and Jennifer Jackson and husband, Glenn Jackson. He is also survived by his four grandchildren: Cameron, Blake, Elizabeth, and Oliver, and his great-grandson, Ryder. His children and grandchildren were among his greatest joys in life. He also leaves behind his nephews, Richard and Robert Johnson. He loved his family deeply, cherished every moment he had with them, and leaves behind a legacy of love that will live on through the generations.
Some of the most cherished memories of Harry are found in the simple moments he shared with his family. Summers were filled with camping trips, exploration, and quality time that will always be cherished. He learned the sport of basketball simply so he could coach his daughter's team. He enjoyed going to the Nutcracker each year with his daughter and granddaughter. When his older grandsons were younger, he loved having them visit and taking them to explore the outdoors in Florida. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandson Oliver. These are only a few of the many wonderful memories that we will continue to hold close.
Harry loved his dogs fiercely. He is now reunited with his beloved Hunter, Duke, and Gunter, who were waiting to welcome him Home.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, his sister Ruth Johnson, his brother-in-law Robert Johnson, and his son Jason Bierce.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing that he is now at peace and in the presence of his Savior. His greatest legacy is the love he left in our hearts.
