Obituary

Harvey E. Ringer, age 90, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, following complications from melanoma.

Born on October 28, 1935, in Worcester, Massachusetts, Harvey was the son of the late James and Ethel (Cutler) Ringer. He was raised in Worcester and graduated from South High School.

Harvey honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps before continuing his education at Northeastern University in Boston. He went on to build a long and successful career with Massachusetts Electric Company, where he devoted more than 35 years before retiring in 1995.

In retirement, Harvey embraced life in Florida, living first in Naples and later in The Villages. He found great joy in golfing, dining with friends, and hosting visits from his family.

He was preceded in death by his former wife, Patricia Ringer (2008), and his daughter, Laurie Graham (2006) of Grafton, Massachusetts.

Harvey is lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Elizabeth (Gallas) Ringer of The Villages, Florida; his children, James Ringer and his wife Sara of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Carol Ringer of Grafton, Massachusetts; and his stepsons, Peter Bernard and his wife Carolyn of Chicopee, Massachusetts and Jamie Bernard and his wife Joy of Apollo Beach, Florida.

He was a proud grandfather to Erin Regan and her husband Matthew, Nicholas Graham and his wife Michelle, and Marybeth Graham, as well as a cherished step-grandfather to McKayla, Mariah, Caleb, Jackson, and Samuel. He was also a great-grandfather to Eloise, Declan, Lyla, and Phoebe.

In his later years, Harvey shared a special bond with his brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Sue Gallas. Together, they enjoyed many years of friendly golf competitions, card games, dining out, and holiday gatherings.

Harvey will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and a loyal friend. His kindness, thoughtful nature, attentive listening, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

His family will cherish countless memories, including fishing and swimming at Everett and Lillian’s camp on Burncoat Pond in Leicester, Massachusetts; summers spent with him and Liz in Saco, Maine, and treasured time together in Naples and The Villages. Whether picking shells along the shore, playing a round of golf, watching the Hallmark Channel, or simply enjoying one another’s presence, these moments will remain in their hearts forever.

Private services will be held at a later date. The family sincerely appreciates the love and support extended during this time.
