Obituary

Hector J. Bezares, 89, of Cape Coral, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018. He was born December 6, 1928 in Manhattan, NY to Juan and Consuelo Bezares.

Hector worked in television for over 20 years in NYC. He was one of the most sought-after Videotape Engineers in the business. In 1974 he was nominated for an Emmy Award and even though he didn't win, he won the respect of his peers and his crew was always asked for first on different television shows. He was promoted in 1976 to supervisory Engineer and it was at that time that he found Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior; he went on to retire early from his job and moved to Florida. He worked in a gas station while pursuing his spiritual life and then moved on to Christian television with The Gospel Crusade and helped them get on the air; He traveled to Honduras televising the crusades. He also worked in Public television for a time before retiring for the fourth time. During his last year on earth, he touched many lives with encouraging words, funding ministries, or just simply helping people when the need arose. He loved going to church, praising the Lord and just enjoying the presence of God. He will be missed by many as he switches his earthly address for a heavenly one.

He is survived by daughter, Mary Fink; son, John H. Bezares; son, Raymond Bezares; and daughter,Jo-ann Dellibovi.
