Helen Jean Richardson, of Ocala, Florida, and formerly of Fall River, Massachusetts; Preston, Connecticut; and Hawley, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, at the age of 75.

Born on September 21, 1950, in Fall River, Massachusetts, Helen experienced life's joys and challenges with unwavering strength, resilience, and grit. Throughout every chapter of her life, she touched countless lives through her kindness, generosity, and caring spirit.

Helen never met a stranger. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome, and her kindness, warmth, and willingness to help others left a lasting impression on everyone she met.

Helen enjoyed a successful career in the gaming industry. She began working as a table games dealer at Foxwoods Resort Casino in the early 1990s before continuing her career at Mohegan Sun, where she served as a table games dealer, floor supervisor, and Gaming Commission representative throughout the 1990s and 2000s. After retiring to Ocala in 2013, Helen never truly slowed down. She remained active in her community, loved socializing, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Her greatest joy came from the people she loved. She cherished her family, treasured her many friendships, adored her cherished granddaughter, Lily, of Greenville, South Carolina, and loved her faithful companion, her beloved puppy Lila, who brought her endless comfort and happiness. Helen was a faithful Christian with Catholic roots, and her faith quietly guided her throughout her life.

Helen was preceded in death by her former husband and dear friend, Charles Richardson; her parents, Frances and Walter; her sisters, Esther and Barbara; and her brother, Walter.

She is survived by her daughter, Rachel, of Greenville, South Carolina; her cherished granddaughter, Lily, also of Greenville; her son, Jason, of Ocala, Florida; Jason's partner, Melissa, whom Helen loved like a daughter; her sister, Irene; her beloved nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

Helen's passing leaves a profound sense of loss, but her warmth, compassion, generous heart, and remarkable resilience will continue to live on in the memories of all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Family and friends are encouraged to honor Helen's memory by extending kindness to others, just as she did throughout her life.

Helen will be dearly missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
