In Loving Memory of Helen Jane Strother-Dicks Born: 1941 | Passed: February 25, 2025 Helen Jane Strother-Dicks was a woman of strength, love, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. Born in Oswego, NY, and raised in Yonkers, NY, she built a life centered around faith, compassion, and resilience. As a devoted member of The Mount Calvary Freewill Baptist Church, she found joy in her faith and the fellowship of her church family. A breast cancer survivor, Helen turned her personal battle into a mission to help others. She cofounded Sisters for Life, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to breast cancer awareness, where she served as President, touching countless lives with her kindness, leadership, and support. Helen's greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her loving children—Elizabeth, Richard Jr., Renee, Alex, Daniel, and Adrienne—along with 12 cherished grandchildren and 13 adored greatgrandchildren. She was the heart of her family, always offering wisdom, warmth, and unconditional love. Helen was deeply loved and will always be remembered for her strength, grace, and generous spirit. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love and kindness lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be truly missed but never forgotten.
