Henrietta Elizabeth Schilpzand of Ocala, Florida p assed away Saturday, September 28, 2019 at TimberRidge Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, Ocala, FL at the age of 96 years. Henrietta was born June 3, 1923 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Johan Hendrik and Catharina (Schipper) Schilpzand. She lived in the Oakwood neighborhood of Kalamazoo for over 90 years before moving to Ocala with her nephew Dan Ruple and his wife Charlotte who cared for Henrietta in her later years. Henrietta graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School and established her career working for F.W. Woolworth.  Henrietta spent many years singing in the choirs at Oakwood Methodist Church.  She also enjoyed bowling, bingo and travel with family taking many nieces and nephews on trips around the country. "Aunt Hen" is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four sisters and two brothers: Dirk, Anna, Catherine, John, Elizabeth, and Lois. As was Henrietta's wish, cremation has taken place. Cremains will be interred at Riverside Cemetery, Kalamazoo, Michigan at a later date with time for family to gather and celebrate Henrietta's life.  Arrangements by Baldwin Brothers Funerals & Cremations 11250 SW 93rd Ct.
