On Sunday, January 6 ^th , 2019, Henry Hood, loving husband, brother, grandfather, and friend to many, passed away at the age of 81. Henry was born on August 25 ^th , 1937 in Staten Island, N.Y. to the late John and Gertrude Kemper Hood.

Henry graduated from Ithaca College and went on to earn a Master of Science in Energy Management at N.Y.I.T. He retired from Con Edison at Indian Point in Buchanan, N.Y. as a chemistry instructor. Henry was preceded in death by brothers Robin Wayne Hood, Thomas Dean Hood, son, Henry Kemper Hood and stepson Brian Mara. He is survived by his wife, Pat Hood, sister, Carol Thaten, daughter-in-law, Wilma Strickland, granddaughters: Gabrielle Daya Keyes, and Elizabeth Kamikowski and step-son Michael Mara. Henry embraced life fully and had a passion for golf and bridge and loved people. He was one of a kind and had a wonderful sense of humor, and he loved a good cup of coffee!  He was very proud of being a Friend of Bill W. for 42 Years and made many friends in AA over the years.There will be a remembrance service on Saturday, January 12 ^th , 2019. Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:00 A.M. Services will begin at 10AM and will be officiated by Rev. Jan Justice and held at the Lady Lake United Methodist Church located at 109 W. Mc Clendon St. Lady Lake, FL 32159. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to  Lady Lake United Methodist Church in memory of Henry Hood or your favorite charity.
