Herbert "Herb" Carlos Kibbe, Jr. passed peacefully into the hands of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 21, 2020. Those blessed to have known him will deeply miss Herb's genuine smile and kind demeanor. He was born May 31, 1942 in Hartford, CT to parents Herbert Carlos Kibbe, Sr. and Madeline Cappello. Befitting his lifelong desire for adventure, he joined the Navy at 17 and served his country honorably aboard the USS Severn (AO-61) making him the second of three Kibbe generations to earn the title "Navy Veteran." Finding his niche in the field of telecommunications at Warner Cable, Herb eventually migrated to Fort Myers, FL where he served the residents of Shell Point Retirement Community for 31 years. He is survived by his loving partner in life, Betty Hesselgesser, a son Kevin L. Kibbe, a daughter Kristine Sieben, a grandson, a great-grandson, and Betty's entire family. PCSN Herb Kibbe will be laid to rest with full military honors at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Fair winds and following seas Herb.
