Herbert Schwartz, 86, of Ocala, Florida passed away December 23, 2019.  Born in Scranton, PA, he came to this area in 2008 from Pembroke Pines, FL.  Mr. Schwartz was a US Army Veteran, retired health care administrator and a member of Temple Beth Shalom in Ocala.  He was a former member of the Temple Beth Shalom Board of Directors and was a supporter of the Ocala Symphony, Civic Theater and The Ritz shelter for homeless veterans.  He was also a Florida Nursing Home Ombudsman member.  He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Amy; sons, Jonathan E. Schwartz, M.D. (Karen) of Jacksonville, FL and William L. Schwartz (Jacqueline) of Houston, TX; daughter, Susan R. Schwartz of Pembroke Pines, FL; grandchildren, Jake, Dylan, Alexa and Serena.  Funeral Services will be held at Temple Beth Shalom (1109 NE 8 ^th Avenue, Ocala 34470) on Tuesday, December 24 ^th at 3PM.
