Herdis Allen Young, Jr. passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2022 in Rockledge, Florida.

Herdis was born in Hancock, Missouri on December 31, 1933. He is preceded in death by his wife Jean Alice Mark-Young, and his parents Herdis Allen Young, Sr. and Eava Mae (Davis) Young. He is survived by his children Barbara Young Zack and her husband Dave of Ocala, Florida; Herdis Young III and his wife Cheryl of Mims, Florida; Deborah Young Pinkhouse and her husband Bob, of Meadville, Pennsylvania; Terry Young Shook of Mims, Florida; Virginia Young Zawislak and her husband Peter of Maynardville, Tennessee; and David Young of Imperial, Missouri. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Herdis worked as an aircraft inspector and was a member of IAW for 70 years. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking and reading.
