Herman Carl Britzke, 83, of Henderson Harbor died suddenly on February 14, 2010 in New Smyrna Beach, FL with his wife Kay by his side.  Herman was born July 20, 1926 in Syracuse, NY.  He worked for the New York Telephone Company for many years, retiring in the early eighties.  Herman moved to Henderson Harbor, New York in 1983 and wintered in Florida.  He was a true conservationist, and enjoyed fishing and boating.  Herm was an avid Syracuse University Basketball fan.  He was a Rotarian and Volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital. Herman was preceded in death by his first wife June.  He is survived by his loving wife, Kay; two devoted daughters, Carol and her husband, Michael Groseclose of Westerville OH, Laurie and her husband, Patrick Egan of E. Northport, NY; three grandchildren, Taura Huxley-Nelson and her husband Keith Nelson, Bridget and Kelly Egan; sister, Jacqueline Kennedy; five step-children and six step- grandchildren.      Donations may be made to Hospice of Jefferson County, New York.   A celebration of Herman's life will be held in the summer in the Henderson Harbor area.
