Herman "Jim" De Jonge went home to be with the Lord and his loving wife Alma on October 25, 2017 at the age of 87.  He was born in Glen Ridge N.J.  Jim married his childhood sweetheart, Alma Rose Zeek in 1950.  Together, they had a wonderful life where they owned and operated many businesses.  Upon retirement, they moved full time to Puerto Rico where they enjoyed playing golf and traveling.  In 2004 they moved to The Villages.  Jim was active in The Villages Masonic Lodge 394, and Operation Homebound.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Caren (Lee) from Franklin Ma., son, Ron De Jonge of The Villages, and 2 grandchildren; Stephanie and Robert.

A Celebration of Life will be held at New Life Christian Church 4701 E Co. Rd. 462 Wildwood, Fl. On December 2, 2017 at 4:00 pm.
