Hermann W. Preissler

January 12, 1940 – March 21, 2023

Hermann W. Preissler, 83, of Fort Myers Florida, passed away on March 21, 2023 at Hope Hospice of Lehigh Acres. Hermann was born on January 12, 1940 in Motzdorf Germany, son of the late Wenzel and Anna Preissler.

Hermann and his wife of 55 years immigrated to the United States in 1967. Their path in the United States began in Indiana, with stops in Michigan, New York, and North Carolina, before finally settling down in Fort Myers in 2019.

He had a long career in the automotive industry and enjoyed traveling in their RV and tinkering in his garage in his free time. In his younger days, he was an avid skier and soccer player. He was also a big motorsports fan. During his retirement years in Western North Carolina, he enjoyed maintaining their property with his wife, mostly from the seat of his tractor.

A devoted husband and father, Hermann was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Renate, sister Marianne, son Mike, daughter in-law Sigrid, grandson Stephen, numerous nieces and nephews, and close friends.
