Hildegard
Fritsch
April 17, 1930 – March 6, 2019
Hildegard Fritsch, 88, of Oxford, Florida, passed from this life to her eternal home on March 6 after a long battle with cancer. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Born in Bad Kreuznach, Germany, she met husband Bob in Wiesbaden, where he worked for the US military. They moved to Indiana in 1957 and raised 4 children in Ft. Wayne. Her love of and compassion for people led to a position as Lay Assistant at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Her passion for ministry included visitation to hospitals and shut-ins, women's prison ministry, leading death & dying workshops and grief counseling. Her work continued at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Atlanta, Georgia, from where she retired. She loved music and sang in choirs all her life. In lieu of flowers, she requested donations to the Music Department at Hope Lutheran Church, 250 Avenida Los Angelos, The Villages, FL 32162. A memorial service is planned at Hope Lutheran on March 25 at 10:30am.
