Hosea Benony – 79 (known as Mr. "B")  of Columbia, SC, died surrounded by his family at Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford, FL on September 1, 2013, after a brief illness. Hosea was born in Sainte Suzanne, Haiti on January 21, 1934 to Manest and Priscille Benony. Hosea spent his adult life in the U.S.  cultivating his career in Tailoring & Alternations until his retirement on January 31, 2013. Hosea was active in his church, Kingston Road Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and devoted his life to outreach ministries. Hosea loved playing his organ and sharing his love of the Lord with others. More than anything, he was a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by his daughter, Novia LaBranche-Herring and son-in-law, Christopher Herring, Sr. of Sanford, FL; his son, Lloyd Benony of East Elmhurst, NY; his brother, Ernst Benony of Miami, FL; his sister, Kethsia Benony of Trou-Du-Nord, Haiti; his grandchildren Merellis Dixon, Jr. of Columbia, SC and Jacobi Barringer of Sanford, FL; several nieces and nephews. Mr. "B" will be greatly missed. A private cremation is planned.
