Howard David Millard, also known as Duck, age 69 passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, August 25, 2023 at his home in Port Orange, Florida ending his battle with cancer.

David is survived by his two loving daughters Kerry and Kristina Millard of Port Orange, Florida; his brother, Daniel Millard of Elkader, Iowa, his brother Adrian Millard of Tampa, Florida, John Millard of Floral City, Florida, and his only sister Blanche Prentice Millard of Independence, Iowa. Along with countless nieces and nephews who he adored.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyde and Blanche Millard and four of his brothers; Lloyde "Butch" Millard Jr, Raymond Millard, Dennis Millard, and Michael Millard.

David was born on August 25, 1954in Olwein, Iowa to Blanche E. Walker Millard and Lloyde B. Millard Sr. As one of nine children there was never a dull moment. His family moved to Ruskin, Florida when David was 13 years old. There they met the Tichy family and grew to be lifelong friends. David made it a point to keep in touch and stay in contact with all those he loved. He loved fishing, camping, treasure hunting, and going to Tampa Bay Buccaneers games with his brothers and friends. He lived life to the fullest when he was able and he loved even more. He will be missed endlessly.

His family plans on gathering in Iowa next Spring to scatter his ashes in Pony Hollow (Roberts Creek) bluff where he and his brothers played and caught turtles as children. Those interested in joining please contact Kerry Millard.
