Irene F. Gentile, born in the Bronx, N.Y. on 12/25/55 to Angelina Baccrella and Armand Gentile, returned home to live with the Angels on August 23, 2015 after a long valiant struggle with Breast Cancer. A life-long equestrian, Irene owned and operated Pink Rose Farm in Belleview, FL since 1986, teaching riding and driving lessons to many students. Irene was very active in the Equestrian community, serving in various officer positions in STRIDE Dressage, managing horse shows, and also teaching at Marion Therapeutic Riding Association, instructing disabled students. In 2014, Irene was named the Region 3 GMO Volunteer of the Year by the United States Dressage Federation. Her friends are certain she has already saddled up Rhiannon and is galloping across the Elysian Fields. Irene is survived by her brother, Steven Gentile of Tampa, FL.
