Irma L Shannon, 91, of Edgewater Florida passed away November 25. Irma was a lifetime resident of Syracuse, New York. She moved to Edgewater, Florida three and a half years ago to be closer to family. She had a strong work ethic. For 20 years she worked for the North Syracuse School System as a kitchen aid and after her retirement she worked for 15 years at Sunshine Day, tending to the infants and handling receptionist duties. Irma will always be remembered for her strong spirit and caring nature. Above all, her family was most important to her. She was predeceased by her parents Marie and Clarence Edwin Sweeney; her husband, Harry Edwin Shannon; her children, Steven Dennis Shannon, Patrick Michael Shannon and Paul Robert Shannon. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter in law Carol Shannon; granddaughters, Pamela (Justin) Barger, Esq. and their 3 loving children and Bridget (Bryan) Luedke and their children, JR Shannon, Jennie Luedke and Ashlynn Luedke and her sister-in-law Peggy Shannon. Services will be private.
