J. Wayne Shank, 72 of Winter Park died Thursday, August 1, 2013.  Wayne was born December 6, 1940 in Cresson, Pennsylvania to the late Bernice and Merwyn Shank.  Wayne grew up in Altoona, Pennsylvania and entered the United States Air Force after high school.  He met and married the love of his life Marion Lomas on March 28, 1970 and they settled in Winter Park to raise their two children.  Wayne was a determined man with a sense of stubbornness, but taught his children how to love life.  He was a devoted husband and father.  Wayne was an avid bowler, PBA Member and coached youth bowling to his children starting in the early 1980's.  He continued to coach bowling to children and was proud to work with his grandson.  He worked as an Insurance Adjuster for many years in the Central Florida area.  Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Marion;  daughter, Stephanie and her husband, Wendell Beasley;  son, Steven Shank; grandchildren, Cameron Shank and Katelyn Shank all of Winter Park and his brother, Gary Shank of Florida.  A life celebration will be held at 4pm, Saturday, August 10th at his home.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made the the American Lung Association or American Heart Association.
