Jacqueline H. Barton, 87, of Fort Myers, passed away March 26, 2019. Born March 14, 1932 in Glasgow, WV., she was the daughter of Robert Ivan Page and Pearl Gregory. She was preceded in death by brothers Charles, Don, and Bob Page; sister Flo Brett; husbands Robert Monday Jr., and Charley Barton; daughter Jeanne Bass; and a grandson Benjamin Bass. Jackie was a house wife who was widely known for her cooking and cake baking skills. There was a saying for family get together dinners, " you cut the watermelon and they all come. " She loved her church family as well as the Smithers Senior Center Family. She is survived by her sister Rosemary Spear, brother Larry Page, children William (Patricia) Monday of Petersburg, VA., and Marilyn (Thomas) Byerly of Fort Myers, FL., two grandchildren Randy and Able Bass, and three great grandchildren, Gage, Jade, and Jasmine; and a special lifelong friend Rosa Runyon. A memorial of life service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday May 4, 2019, at Oakland Church of God, Smithers, with Pastor Robert Van Fossen officiating. A luncheon will be provided by the church immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Oakland Church of God, 433 Michigan Avenue, Smithers, WV., 25186.
