James Homer Atkins II, of Ft. Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2020. He was 62 years old. James was born on August 13, 1958, in Miami, Florida, to the late James Homer Atkins, Sr. and Eloise (O'Toole) Atkins.

James graduated from Coral Gables High School in 1976 and then graduated from the University of Florida in 1980 where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Building Construction. With his knowledge, skills, passion, and determination, he'd become the Chief Financial Officer of The Atkins Group, a company dedicated to commercial general contracting and consulting.

During James' down time, he enjoyed golfing, scuba diving, fishing and he was also a Certified Licensed Boat Captain.

James leaves behind his son, James Homer Atkins III of Portland, Oregon; daughter, Amber Lee Atkins of Boulder, Colorado; fiancé, Marle-Ange Caignault Tascher of Ft. Myers, Florida; sister, Melinda Atkins of Coconut Grove, Florida; nephew, Christian Atkins of Miami, Florida; and his two nieces, Savannah-Jane Griffin of Deland, Florida and Dorothy Atkins of Berkley, California.

James will be dearly missed by all.
