JAMES E. BROWN

10/17/1958 – 3/24/2019

James Brown aka "Brownie", the white soul man, passed away peacefully on March 24 ^th at Advent Health Daytona Beach under the care of Advent Hospice Care.  Born in Holyoke, MA he moved to Florida 25 years ago where he worked at Smith & Wesson as a gun-fitter and machinist.  Brownie was a member of the Eagles, VFW and AmVets.  Jim enjoyed hockey and reminiscing about his Army days.

James leaves behind his wife of 30 years, Elaine; parents, John David Brown and Eleanor Brown Leach of Holyoke, MA; sisters, Gail Cranshaw of Holyoke and Sue Sullivan of Easthampton, MA; daughters, Patti Killeen of Greenfield, MA and Sara Brown O'Neil of Chicopee, MA; and 5 grandchildren.

James is predeceased by two brothers, Michael and David Brown; and his faithful companion and pseudo-son Skeeter.

A very special thanks goes out to his caregivers at Advent Health Daytona Beach 10 ^th floor.  Donations can be made to Advent Health Hospice Care who assisted with his transition to a far better place. At least he is no longer in pain.
