James E. Forrest, 84, of Ormond Beach formerly of Hudson and Marlborough, MA, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022, after a brief illness. Loving father of Gordon Forrest and his wife Lisa of Lynnfield, MA, and Kirsten Forrest Treska of Daytona Beach, FL. Grandfather of Ethan, Samuel, William, and Katherine. Brother of Linda Forrest.  Jim was predeceased by his life partner Jose "Alex" Camacho.

Born in Washington, D.C., and raised in California and Oregon, he was the son of the late Roger and Lorna (Johnson) Forrest. Jim graduated Pomona College and attended the University of Chicago.  He spent his professional career working in supply chain and logistics, including 21 years with Digital Equipment Corporation in Puerto Rico, Massachusetts, and New York.  His passion for classical music and opera provided him with a broad network of like-minded acquaintances, and as an early adopter of email and social media, he cultivated these friendships around the world.

Funeral services will be private.  At the family's request please omit flowers. Donations may be made in Jim's memory to the Halifax Humane Society, 2364 LPGA Blvd, Daytona Beach, FL 32124 .
