James A. Geddes III (84) of Ormond Beach, Florida, after a long battle with cancer passed away surrounded by family on February 12, 2022.  Jimmy was born on February 1, 1938, in New York City to James and Katherine Geddes.

Jimmy moved to Florida in 1951 where he began his career as a carpenter and later a General Contractor for large condo developments. He had many interests including motorcycle riding, stamp collecting, air gun shooting, fly fishing, being near the ocean, and collecting jazz music.  He combined his interests and took up watercolor painting where he sketched daily and produced a beautiful collection of artworks.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his wife Betty, daughter Maggie, son-in-law Scott and grandchildren, Noah, Lily, and Wade.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 26, 2022, between the hours of 2-4 pm at Baldwin Brothers – Ormond Beach, 1185 West Granada Blvd., Unit 11, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice or American Cancer Society.
