IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James
Giovannucci
April 4, 1946 – March 30, 2025
James J. Giovannucci, 78, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025 at A Banyan Assisted Living and Memory Care after a long illness.
James (Jim), or "Whitey" to many, was born on April 4,1946, in Somerville, NJ, and grew up in Raritan, NJ. He graduated from Bridgewater-Raritan High School in 1964. Later, he resided in Somerville, NJ, after marrying the love of his life, Alexandria "Sandy," with whom he spent 53 wonderful years. While in Somerville, he owned and operated his own business, Kitchen Professionals, and was an outstanding kitchen designer and craftsman for over 30 years. He also owned a beautiful pool, which he installed himself, where he hosted many parties with family and friends. In 2005, he retired and moved to The Villages, Florida. There, he and Sandy made many new friends. He loved playing golf and enjoying the many activities The Villages offered. He especially loved doing laps in the community pool every morning at 7 a.m., before it got crowded. He often described The Villages as "paradise."
Jim was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Americus Giovannucci. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy, his brother Starr (Rita) of Bridgewater NJ, his sisters-in-law Paula Moscetti of Wayne NJ, and Pamela Moscetti (Patrick) of Glen Gardner NJ. He was also a cherished and much-loved uncle to his nephew Jamie Giovannucci, and his nieces Nicole Copeland, Barbara Ann Giovannucci, and Gina Giovannucci. Jim also leaves behind many cousins and friends.
A memorial service for Jim will be held at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 5323 E County Rd 462 in Wildwood, Florida on May 2, 2025, at 11:30 am.
Donations in Jim's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
