James J. Gordon, beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, peacefully left us on April 29, 2025, in Leesburg, Florida, just shy of his 92nd birthday. Born on May 5, 1933, in Cleveland, Ohio, James led a rich and vibrant life filled with service, passion, and an unwavering devotion to those he loved.

A proud U.S. Army veteran, James married the love of his life, Nancy, in January 1981, and together they shared countless beautiful years. He was a lifelong member of the Eagles, finding genuine joy in community, camaraderie, and the warmth of good company.

James was cherished for his kindness, boundless generosity, and his culinary talents. An ardent Cleveland sports fan, he took immense delight in cheering for his teams. His passion for golf and his love for dogs brought joy and comfort to all who knew him. His warm presence and hearty, home-cooked meals created memories that will forever live in our hearts.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy; his brother, Thomas Gordon; his niece, Valerie, and nephew, Brian; cherished nephew, Ron Godinsky and his family; cousin-in-law, Francine; and dear friend, Tom Poplawski ("Pop"). His absence leaves a profound emptiness for everyone who was fortunate enough to have known him.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no formal service. Instead, contributions can be made to Disabled Veterans or a local Humane Society—two causes that held a special place in his heart.

James J. Gordon will be remembered as a kind-hearted, generous soul who lived with purpose and loved with everything he had. His spirit and warmth will forever remain with us.
