James R. Hager, 74, of Edgewater Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 19th, at Advent Health Hospital in New Smyrna Beach Florida after a brief illness. Mr. Hager was born October 4, 1948 to Kenneth R. Hager and Avis A. Hager (Ames) in Oswego, New York. Mr. Hager was a long time employee of Niagara Mohawk (National Grid). He was a graduate of Mexico (NY) High School and received a Bachelor Degree in Art from SUNY Potsdam. He is survived by a sister in law, Nelda G. Hager of Sandy Creek, New York, a nephew, Verrick E. Hager of Mexico, New York and a niece, Vicky S. DeCare (Hager) of Sandy Creek, New York. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Robert C. Hager. There are no calling hours or funeral services.
