James Neal Horn, born on September 9, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, in Edgewater, Florida, at the age of 89. His life was a testament to strength and independence.

James proudly served his country in the United States Army for two years, stationed in Germany. Following his military service, he embarked on a career as a skilled Millwright. He later made the significant decision to move his family from the city to the countryside, seeking a better quality of life for them.

James found joy in many pursuits. He was an avid fisherman and golfer who cherished time spent outdoors. He also had a passion for reading and writing.

Among his greatest companions was his beloved dog, Taco, who brought him much happiness over the years.

He is survived by his daughter Stephanie (Horn )Banfield and her husband Ki Banfield; his son

Tobin Horn; his grandchildren Mario Burns, James Burns, Anthony Burns, Kaitlin Horn, and Teresa Baldwin; and an abundance of great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents George and Adele (Beaudoin)Horn; his brother George Horn; his daughters Tracy Horn and Cheryl (Horn)Baldwin. James’s legacy is one of resilience and strength-a man who worked tirelessly for his family while embracing life’s simple pleasures. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
