James Edward Hutchinson "Hutch", 79, of Leesburg, Florida, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Tavares Hospice House in Tavares, Florida. Jim was born in Spurgeon, Indiana on July 28, 1939 to Edgar Hutchinson and Lillie Davis Nixon.

Jim graduated from Oakland City High School in Oakland City, Indiana in 1957. From there he graduated from Evansville College in Evansville, Indiana (presently known as University of Evansville) in 1961 with a bachelor's degree in Marketing & Business. Jim was employed by General Motors in Louisville, KY after graduation, owned an auto dealership in Sebree, KY, then ostriches and emus after an early retirement. He was a veteran of the United States Army Reserve and a member of First Baptist in Oakland City, Indiana. While in Florida, Jim attended First Baptist Church of Leesburg.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Lillie Hutchinson.

He is survived by his daughters: Jill Hutchinson Tedder and her husband, Keith, of Louisville, KY; and Jaci Hutchinson Floyd of Boonville, IN; by his grandchildren: Josh Tedder, Moriah Tedder and Zach Floyd; a cousin, Bob Hardy of Lousiville, KY; and his companion, Anna May Hedges.

A memorial service for Jim is planned for a later date in Indiana.
