November 10, 1957 – February 3, 2026
James “Jim” Shepherd died peacefully on February 3rd 2026 in Wellen Park, Florida following a five year battle with Lymphoma.
He is survived by his father Jim, wife Lynn, daughter Ellen, stepson Dylan and Brother David.
Jim was born in Paisley, Scotland on November 10th 1957 to Jim and Nancy Shepherd. He spent his early life in Glasgow, Scotland attending Mount Florida Primary and Alan Glens School.
He later moved to England in Greenford and then Bedford where he met his first wife Julie.
In 1992 he moved to Brussels, Belgium continuing his work for the Coca-Cola Company that he had begun in 1985 in London.
In January 1997 they welcomed their daughter Ellen Elizabeth born in Brussels.
They moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1998
Following his time in Atlanta, he later lived in Indianapolis, Chicago and Baltimore. During this time working as Global General Manager Sweet and Beverage at Sensient Technologies and Chief Operating Officer at Trilogy Essential Ingredients.
In March 2021 he married Lynn, having met in Indianapolis in 2012.
Jim was a very proud Scotsman and Glaswegian and an avid Rangers Football fan. He had a love of music ranging from The Rolling Stones to Norah Jones to Zac Brown Band. He and Lynn dreamed of moving to Florida and being near the beach something that became reality in December 2024.
During a 24 year career with The Coca-Cola Company across London, Brussels and Atlanta rising to Senior Vice President of Research and Development, he explored avenues in Research and Development that set the stage for many amazing developments. And together with an incredible team he re- defined the relationship with some incredibly creative flavour companies.
A private family service will be held on Tuesday 10th February.
