James “Jimmy” Keith Young, 69, of Leesburg, FL, passed away on March 17, 2026. He was born on March 24, 1956, in Bloomsburg, PA.

Jimmy spent many years working as a Civil Engineer, dedicating much of his career to hurricane recovery efforts, including the aftermath of Hurricanes Andrew and Katrina. His work touched many lives, and his kindness, compassion, and easy ability to form friendships were evident everywhere he went.

He cherished riding his Harley and held a special love for his time spent in South Dakota, a place he always described as beautiful and filled with wonderful people.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Young, and his stepfather, Thomas A. Remaley. He is survived by his mother, Rosemary Remaley of Leesburg, FL; his father, James Young of Bloomsburg, PA; his children, James Philip Young (Crystal) and Jennifer Young; his sisters, Jayne Young and Joni Wyszkowski (Alan); and his beloved granddaughters, Kayla, Lydia, and Lilly. He is also remembered and deeply missed by many extended family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor Jimmy’s life and legacy.

Jimmy will be deeply missed but forever remembered for the love he shared so freely and the light he brought into the lives of those around him.
