James “Jim” C. Koseski, 74, of Herons Glen in North Fort Myers, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2026 of natural causes

Born on May 4, 1952, in Hartford, Connecticut, Jim lived a life defined by dedication to his family, his career, and the pursuits he loved most. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Hills Koseski; his father, Chester Koseski; and his sister, Janet Hills Koseski.

Jim was a proud and dedicated employee of Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, Connecticut, where he worked for 28 years before retiring. His strong work ethic and commitment earned him the respect and friendship of many colleagues throughout his career.

Outside of work, Jim had a passion for the outdoors. He was an avid gun enthusiast, accomplished target and skeet shooter, and a firearms instructor who enjoyed sharing his knowledge and experience with others. He also found great joy in snowmobiling, fishing, and spending time enjoying nature.

A devoted sports fan, Jim was an enthusiastic supporter of UConn basketball and rarely missed the opportunity to cheer on the Huskies. He also loved attending Minnesota Twins Spring Training games and was a proud season ticket holder for many years. He looked forward to every season, enjoying the games and the friendships made along the way.

Jim will be remembered for his determination, generous spirit, and the friendships he built over a lifetime. He leaves behind family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him to cherish his memory and the many moments they shared together.

His family and friends extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and caregivers who provided compassionate care and support throughout his illness.

Jim will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
