James Theodore last, 78, passed away on his farm June 27, 2025 in Oxford, Florida. Born on July 29, 1946 of Tempke, Arizona to James C. Last and Alice Noble. James was a Mason and a Cutting horse trainer. Survived by his wife, Sharon Last, his daughter, Jennifer Flaa,(John), his son, James Last (Sarah), his 3 grandchildren, Jake (Lacey), Parker (Natalie), Jaxson and his step children, Jennifer Dispenza, Marry Grace Crawford.

Jim's journey on horseback carried him from the Round Up Ranch in Downsville, New York, to Texas where he trained and showed cutting horses alongside: Helen Groves, Buster welch, Punk Carter, and the Cauble Ranch crew, and into Florida where he enjoyed Polo cross, sorting and the Reining horses.  Horses weren't simply his passion, they were his way of life. Turning young horses into good horses.
