James P. Macaluso "Jim", a proud veteran of the US Army and a Korean War veteran, passed away peacefully on Memorial Day, May 30, 2022 at his home in Leesburg, Florida surrounded by his loved ones.

The son of August and Emma Macaluso. Jim  was born July 6, 1935 in Chicago Illinois. Jim valued his  service to his country in the US Army. As part of this service, James served time in combat in Korea during the Korean war for the 5 ^th Regimental Combat team, 555 ^th Field Artillery Battery. After his time spent in the service Jim spent his time before retiring working in the telephone industry in Saudi Arabia, Ohio, Alaska, and Florida. He also did work in Haiti helping to set up phone systems as a volunteer for the Hôpital Albert Schweitzer.

Jim is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Norma Macaluso of Leesburg Florida. He was predeceased by both his mother and father and his daughter Beverly Macaluso. He is also survived by his daughter Rachel Macaluso Ladiner, and his step-children who loved and admired him, Sandra Rice (Dennis), Dewayne Lawhon (Mary) and Linda Carl (Jeremy). Jim was a proud grandfather to his step-grandchildren, teaching many his love of fishing and the outdoors.
