On the morning of January 30 ^th , 2022, James Keith Martin of Ormond Beach passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 88.  James was born in 1933 in Beaver Falls, PA.  After high school James joined the Army with time spent at Fort Benning, GA and Fort Bragg, NC.  He ended his 21-year career as a First Sergeant in the 82 ^nd Airborne Division with over 700 jumps and as Veteran of the Vietnam war.  He then began his second career with the Post Office in Lakeland, FL.

James' most precious times in life was time spent with his family. He was preceded in death by his father Lyle, mother Pearl and brother Bill. He is survived by 5 children Keith, Rick (Dody), Kathy Cruz, Elizabeth Bonds, and Stephanie (James) Brown, his 10 grandchildren Keith (Jennifer), Scott, Lindsey (William) Flannery, Lauren, Chloe, Bobbie Jean, Jason, Caroline, Austin, and Luke; his 4 great grandchildren Alex, Madeline, Savannah, and Annabelle.

His Celebration of Life will take place Fourth of July weekend at Buffalo Lake, NC.
