Obituary

James "Jim" Muehe died peacefully in his home on January 16 in The Villages, FL at the age of 78.

Jim Muehe is survived by his wife, Evelyn; daughters, Melanie and Michele; sisters, Jackie and Audrey; and two grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Audrey and his brothers Bill and Chris.

Jim was born in Chicago, IL and grew up in Wildwood, IL. He moved to New York City in his early twenties where he married Barbara, the mother of his daughters. In the early 1970s he moved to West Caldwell, NJ, a nice community to raise his family. His second wife, Evelyn, was his soul mate and partner for more than 40 years. They shared homes in New Jersey, Arizona, California, and Florida.

He owned and operated Creative Dimensions, an advertising incentives company, for more than 25 years. His success as the President of Creative Dimensions gained him acceptance to Harvard Business School's Owner/President Management program, which he proudly completed.

His daughters remember him as a loving father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. He was funny and a great storyteller. Jim was a passionate runner and triathlete and competed in the Ironman World Championship in Kona, HI in 1982 and 1983 when long distance endurance races were new and extreme. Jim was generous and had an entrepreneurial spirit. He encouraged and supported his daughters and siblings in their pursuit of higher education and starting their own businesses. He loved history and traveling around the world with his wife Evelyn to visit places of historical interest.

A private memorial service is being planned in Kailua-Kona, HI. The family would like to thank the staff of Compassionate Care for their efforts to help make Jim comfortable during his remaining days at home.
