James Richard Ohlin

1/14/1978 – 12/4/2018

James (Jimmy) Ohlin passed away on 12/4/2018 at home and will be dearly missed by his many friends and family members.  Born in Youngstown, Ohio, Jimmy moved to Florida when he was a toddler and has made Florida his home.

He leaves behind a daughter, Madisyn Rose Ohlin, his mother, Fran Tellor (Peltz), and his father, Richard Lee Ohlin of New Middletown, Ohio. His death was preceded by his wife's demise in 2014, Erica Rose Sharp-Ohlin. His grandparents who are also deceased were Julia and Mike Peltz and George and Justine Ohlin.

Jimmy went to Spruce High School and Daytona State College for two years, majoring in electrical engineering.  He worked as a salesman in timeshare sales and then started his own company, Strategic Innovations. He was an entrepreneur at heart.  Everyone knew him as a kind, gentle, and funny guy who was a friend indeed. He was a wonderful father, son, and friend and will be missed by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 12 at 11:00 at the Port Orange Christian Church at  904 Taylor Branch Road across from the Golden Coral. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Port Orange Christian Church in Jimmy's name.
