James Ramsey Johnson (Jimmy), age 72 living in Punta Gorda, Florida passed away on April 5 ^th 2025 at Shore Point Hospital.

Jimmy was born on September 18, 1952 to Ramsey and Thelma Johnson of Fort Myers, Florida.  Jimmy graduated from Ft Myers High School Class of 71. Following his graduation, he trained with the Army as a Field Wireman and served with the U.S. Coast Guard from 1972 – 1978.

Jimmy joined the Lee County Sheriff's office which was his lifelong passion to be a police officer. He was a deputy sheriff and became a K-9 officer for Lee County. His partner's name was Wolf. He trained his K-9 and went to many competitions in different states. They won many awards. Jimmy retired from Law Enforcement after 16 years and opened an investigation and Service of Process company in Ft Myers. He continued to serve the community for 30 years.  Jimmy enjoyed purchasing and working with antique cars and truck.

Jimmy predeceased by his son, Daniel Ramsey Johnson, his mother, Thelma Catherine Johnson, and his father, Ramsey Luther Johnson Father. He survived by his wife Ana M. Johnson of Punta Gorda, Daughters, Billie Jo Hanners(Chris) of Alva, and Julie Conyers, Royal Oak MI., Sons, Forrest Shane Johnson, (Lauren) North Ft Myers, and Ian R.  Conyers, (Beth) Fairport, NY. He had 14 grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild.

The family will receive friends on April 21 ^st 2025 from 11:00 – 12:00 PM and a service will be from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM.  At Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home 4320 Colonial Blvd, Ft Myers.

Michael Stafford Jimmy's brother-in-law will officiate the service.

Jim, Jimmy, Dad, Papa as we all called him, was an amazing person, fun loving, corky, warm Loving man. He will be missed.
