James (Jay) Robinson III,74,originally from Philadelphia, PA, passed away surrounded by friends on June 4th, 2025, at Vitas In-Patient Hospice. Jay was born October 2nd, 1951, in Philadelphia, to James Robinson Jr and Anna Conway Robinson. Jay played intramural sports for Cardinal Dougherty High School, graduating in the class of 69. He became a BACLocal 1 Union Bricklayer in Philadelphia and did well in that profession for many years. Later he moved to Egg Harbor Twp, NJ, and was employed as a limo chauffeur for Caesars Atlantic City Casino.  Jay frequented Touch of Italy Bistro, where he met singer Lisa Scanell Camp and they became life long friends.   In 2016, he relocated to Fort Lauderdale, FL,  and drove children to and from daycare where he was known as Mr Jay. He also chauffeured for Atria Willow Wood nursing home, where residents loved his kindness & care. In 2022, Jay retired totally and rejoined his " FL family" who had all retired & moved to The Villages, in Central FL, where he purchased a home in a beautiful golf community in Leesburg. Jay is predeceased by parents James and Anna Robinson, sister Florence Robinson Roth, brother William 'Bill' Robinson, niece Judy Roth, and his beloved lab Bogger. He is survived by nephews Steve Roth, and Marty Robinson, nieces Franni Roth Filzen, Sharon Robinson Ulmer, Cheryl Robinson Haddy, & Janie Robinson Groh. His cousins Chuck Darcy, Nancy Darcy Law and Barb Darcy Perri. His loving friends Lisa Camp, Clyde Mulch, Frank Lynch, and his FL family Colleen Kelly, Joan Lillagore, Patty Harris, Stephanie Strapka, Carol Lambert, Jane Crowley & Joanne Kretzschmar.
