James J. Walker, 88, of Ocala, FL died Friday, June 3, 2016 at his residence in Ocala.  He was born July 9, 1927 in Boston, MA the son of William B. and Elizabeth M. (nee Costello) Walker.  He served in the U S Navy during WWII and was a member of the Catholic church.  He came to Florida in 1958 from Dorchester, MA and worked for the school board in Miami FL and then later as an automotive mechanic. A loving husband, father and grandfather he enjoyed playing cards. He is survived by his wife, Frances Walker of Ocala, FL.  Daughters, Gayle M. LaMariana of Madisonville, TN and Karen Walker Stovall of Fayetteville, TN.  Also survived by a son, Larry D. Walker and his wife, Toni of Cape Coral, FL and by a sister, Marian Penny of Quincy, MA.  He is also survived by 3 grandchildren.  Services are private.
